Jack's Free Pick Wednesday: Los Angeles Lakers -5.5

The Los Angeles Lakers have won five of their last seven games with their lone losses coming on the road to the Suns and at the buzzer to the Pacers.  They are as healthy as they have been all season with LeBron, Davis and Schroder all back and healthy.  Beverly also returns from suspension tonight.  Look for them to take out their frustration from a blowing 17-point 4th quarter lead to the Pacers last time out on the Blazers tonight.

This is a great spot for the Lakers playing just their 3rd game in 6 days.  This is a terrible spot for the Blazers playing the 2nd of a back-to-back and in their 6th different city in 10 days.  They wore down in the 4th quarter against the Clippers last night and lost 118-112 to a Clippers team that was missing Leonard, George, Kennard and Wall.

All five starters played at least 32 minutes last night for Portland, including 43 from Simons and 38 from Grant.  This isn't a deep team as it is, so I don't expect them to handle this situation very well at all.  That's especially the case considering they are still playing without Damian Lillard.

Plays on favorites (LA Lakers) - revenging a loss as a home favorite when also off a home loss are 82-37 (68.9%) ATS over the last five seasons.  This game has blowout written all over it given the terrible spot for the Blazers.  Bet the Lakers Wednesday.

Free Play from Doc’s Sports. Take #323 Purdue Boilermakers over Michigan Wolverines (8p.m., Saturday, December 3 FOX) Nobody is giving Purdue a chance in this game, but this is the toughest most complete team in the Big Ten West. They have veterans on both sides of the football, and I feel Michigan might come into this game flat after such an emotional win at the Horseshoe last Saturday. Purdue is 5-1 in their last 6 neutral site games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games against teams with a winning record. Michigan is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games played in December and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games.
